Joint School Activity: Book Character Day
On 22nd April, our teachers and student volunteers visited TWGHs Hok Shan School for Book Character Day and held a special Book Tasting stall.
Teachers and students turned the booth into a dining table, inviting young students to "taste" a book. The featured book was The Burglar's Breakfast, one of our teachers dressed up as a burglar and did a lively storytelling session. Primary school students were immersed in the story by flipping through the book, listening to the story, and interacting with the character.
The children were highly engaged and showed great interest in continuing to read after the activity. The Book Tasting activity made reading come alive, making students feel the charm of books.
